Une nouvelle édition Blu-Ray de L’Exorciste de William Friedkin a été officialisée de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique par le studio Warner !

Elle sortira aux USA le 8 Octobre prochain dans une édition dézonée et avec du français en audio & sous-titres. On retrouvera les versions cinéma et « Extended Director’s Cut« . Le livre « The Friedkin Connection: A Memoir » sera de la partie également.

Beyond Comprehension: William Peter Blatty’s The Exorcist: 40 years after his novel was published, The Exorcist author, screenwriter and producer returns to where it all began. First stop is a cabin/guest house in the hills of Encino, California, where Blatty wrote the novel. The author visits the place for the first time in 40 years and shares not only memories of writing the book, but also discusses how it inspired him. We then meet Blatty in two key and iconic locations; Georgetown University where the film was shot, and at the now-famous Exorcist steps. Vous ne trouvez pas que ça commence à bien faire (même si le phénomène n'est pas nouveau ...) ces ré-ré-ré-éditions à n'en plus finir ?

Alors que tant de grands films attendent encore une édition simplement convenable ...
Dans le cas présent, j'avais acheté le coffret blu toutes zones américain avec les deux versions (celle de 2000 étant nulle et non avenue en ce qui me concerne) et basta : je ne cracherai plus au bassinet ...
