Synopsis:Juste avant l'explosion de la planète Krypton, Jor-El décide de sauver son fils en l'envoyant sur Terre. Le nourrisson est recueilli par le couple Kent qui décide de l'élever comme leur propre fils. L'enfant se met à développer des pouvoirs hors du commun. Une fois adulte, Clark Kent, reporter au Daily Planet, souhaite mener une vie normale. Il ne renie pas pour autant ses capacités à sauver le monde et devient alors Superman : Super-héros volant au secours de la veuve et de l'orphelin, attisant la jalousie de Lex Luthor et l'intérêt de sa collègue Loïs Lane.

Cinq ans après la sortie de Superman Returns il va enfin être possible de voir la scène d’ouverture sur Krypton. La scène coupée la plus chère de l’histoire du cinéma, on parle de 10 millions de dollars, va être proposée en bonus du nouveau Blu-Ray de Superman Returns. Elle montre Superman arrivant devant les restes de la planète Krypton, et tombant malade, irradié par la kryptonite, avant son retour sur Terre. Cette scène dont on pouvait voir quelques plans dans les bandes-annonces, et le détail dans l’adaptation comics était restée inédite jusqu’ici.
Warner sort pour la première fois en Blu-Ray Superman I (version cinéma) Superman II (version Lester), III et IV mais ne fait pas que recycler les précédents Blu-Ray de Superman I (Director’s Cut), II (version Donner) et Superman Returns car les disques vont inclure une piste anglaise DTS-HD 5.1 inédite, sauf sur le IV et sur le montage cinéma du premier film. Tous les autres bonus sont identiques au précédent coffret dvd, même si deux documentaires sont désormais en HD. Dommage que deux des scènes coupées de Superman IV soient toujours présentées dans un montage de travail, alors qu’elles figuraient dans le montage européen du film. Plus de détail dans cet article. oui oui ! les effets spéciaux sont quand même d'un niveau extraordinaire, et seront sublimé par la hd . quand à l'histoire j'en ai encore les yeux qui brillent, c'est du niveau de 2001 ...

L'image a l'air plus belle qu'avant mais toujours pas annoncé en France... Personne ne sait si il y a la V.F d'origine de 1978 pour le 1er volet sur ce coffret???
